A Forfar woman sent intimate photos and videos to the wife of a man with whom she was having an affair.
Shelley Brook, of North Street, was sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work after admitting sending the woman photos and videos of her and her husband.
Her solicitor said the files were sent on March 7 in a bid to terminate the three-year on-off affair.
When she was arrested three weeks later, she struck an arresting female police constable with her forearm.
For this, she was sentenced to a further 45 hours of unpaid work.
At Forfar Sheriff Court, she had her mobile phone seized by the Crown.
Sheriff Derek Reekie furnished the 33-year-old with a non-harassment order protecting her former lover’s wife for three years.
Free… for 20 minutes
A hapless Dundonian got himself arrested 20 minutes after being freed from custody. James Dougan was freed by police but was back in a squad car minutes later for another offence.
Hit two cars
Diane Birse from Montrose appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court to admit driving carelessly and while drunk.
On October 30, the 44-year-old crashed her Ssangyong into a Kia and a Hyundai parked near her home on Inch Terrace.
Both vehicles were unattended at the time and all three were damaged.
When breathalysed by police, she returned a reading of 90 mics. The limit is 22.
Sheriff Derek Reekie deferred sentencing until January 12 for a social work report.
Groomer
A Perthshire paedophile who lured a Lincolnshire schoolgirl to his home for sex, sparking a nationwide hunt, has been locked up for nearly 18 months. Jamie McRae groomed the 15-year-old on social media and persuaded her to travel 325 miles to meet him at his home in Coupar Angus.
Head stomp
A 22-year-old Glenrothes man pulled another man to the ground by his neck and punched and stamped on his head.
Jason Cameron, of Greenlaw Crescent, appeared from custody at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court to admit the charge of assault to injury at a property in Balbirnie Road, Glenrothes, on October 28 this year.
Cameron also admitted a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and engaging in a struggle with a 15-year-old girl and another woman on the same date.
Sheriff Maryam Labaki said: “These are serious charges.
“I am also quite surprised that charge two (assault charge) is on summary complaint – a stomp to the head to injury”.
The sheriff added: “Charge two is pretty nasty and one that warrants a custodial sentence”.
Sheriff Labaki deferred sentence until January 17 for the production of background reports.
Cameron was remanded in custody meantime.
Neglect
50-year-old Glenda Swan, who allowed a two-year-old boy to swallow Valium, has been sentenced to a curfew order after failing to do her unpaid work. She admitted neglect by failing to secure a tablet containing Diazepam, which the boy ingested.
There will be no court round-up on Monday.
