A twisted sex offender, who told undercover police he was looking for fellow “peed buddies” to abuse children, has been jailed.
Conor Milne, 25, sent a series of sickening messages to police posing as a man with an eight-year-old niece, detailing what acts he would commit should they meet up.
The Forfar predator will spend the next three years in jail after being sentenced at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Milne nodded his head as the details of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) were read out in court.
It bans him from speaking to fellow paedophiles, having unsupervised contact with children, meeting new friends and owning internet-enabled devices without permission for the next ten years.
Sheriff Paul Brown said: “These are very serious matters.
“I have taken into account what has been said on your behalf in mitigation.
“However, given the gravity of these offences I see no option but a custodial sentence.
“Had it not been for your plea it would have been a sentence of four years in prison.”
Former pharmacy worker Milne, of East Sunnyside, Forfar, admitted acting in a threatening and abusive manner by sending texts of a sexual nature, discussing the sexual abuse of children and making arrangements to meet for the purposes of attempting to sexually abuse a young child in May this year.
Sick messages
Depute fiscal Joanna Ritchie earlier told the court: “The accused was chatting online between May 17 and 21 to an undercover police officer.
“The officer was pretending to be an adult with a pretend eight-year-old niece.
“Contact was made via Kik messenger.
“He talked about sexual acts he wished to carry out on the eight-year-old and asked the undercover officer if they had done so.
“He sent messages asking if there were any ‘UK parents active with their children’ and that he ‘needed more peed buddys’.
“He said he was ‘into boys and girls’ and that he ‘was not picky’.
“He told the officer he liked girls of any age and boys until they were 13.”
Ms Ritchie told the court it was a “lengthy production” full of explicit content and asked if she was required to read any further.
Sheriff Lindsay Foulis agreed he had heard enough.
Ms Ritchie added: “The accused and the officer exchanged mobile numbers.
“The accused agreed to meet the undercover officer in a pub.”
