A double rapist who began his abusive crimes against women when he was a teenager is facing prison.
Brandon MacLean raped two women on two separate occasions each, with one victim being subjected to attacks three days apart.
MacLean, 20, had denied a series of charges during a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.
However, he was found guilty of two charges of abusive behaviour and four counts of rape.
Multiple attacks
He first struck on November 23 in 2019 when he entered a house in Ballingry and brandished a knife towards a woman.
He went on to subject a second woman to abusive conduct between August 2020 and February last year at addresses in Glenrothes, Cupar, Dysart and Kirkcaldy.
During that period MacLean punched and kicked her on the body and shook her.
He also shouted, swore, acted aggressively and brandished a knife.
The woman was assaulted and raped at a house in Glenrothes on an occasion between August 19 and September 30 in 2020.
She was raped on an occasion between January 2 and February 2 last year at a house in Kirkcaldy.
MacLean pushed her face into a bed cover and the side of the bed, restricting her breathing.
The woman denied that the sex was with her consent.
Remanded ahead of sentence
MacLean attacked a third woman and raped her at a house in Kirkcaldy on March 7 last year, striking while she was asleep and intoxicated and incapable of giving consent.
Three days later he assaulted and raped the same woman at the address again after seizing her by the hair, pulling her head back and pulling her onto her back.
Following his conviction MacLean, who has been detained at Polmont Young Offenders’ Institution, was placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
The trial judge, Lord Beckett, called for the preparation of a background report ahead of sentencing in January.
He was remanded in custody.
