A trio of men have appeared in court accused of the attempted murder of a man in Dundee’s Hilltown.

Kevin Flood, 31, Scott Dolan, 33 and Daniel Ferrara, 30, appeared in private on petition at Dundee Sheriff Court.

It is alleged all three assaulted Guy Weston, 39, at Hilltown Court, Hilltown Terrace, Hilltown and Victoria Road on January 5.

The three are accused of punching Mr Weston to the head, pursuing him and repeatedly striking or stabbing him on the body with a knife or similar implement.

The charge states the alleged assault left him severely injured and was an attempt to murder him.

Dolan is further accused of assaulting Sara Robertson by brandishing a knife at her neck on Hilltown Court on the same day.

Flood and Dolan, of no fixed abode, and Ferrara, of Princes Street, made no plea during their court hearing on Friday.

All three were denied bail and remanded in custody by Sheriff Alistair Carmichael.

They are scheduled to return to court for a further appearance within the next eight days.
