Image: Steve Brown/DC Thomson. A pair of women have appeared in court in connection with the death of a security guard in Kirkcaldy. Nicola Gordon, 35, and Teresa Gordon, 57, appeared in private in the town’s sheriff court on Monday. Both faced charges of culpable homicide. They also faced a single charge each of shoplifting. Neither woman entered a plea and their cases were continued for further examination. Both women, from Kirkcaldy, were released on bail. Rejects department store in Kirkcaldy. Image: Steve Brown/DC Thomson. Third woman charged in incident The charges relate to the death of a 62-year-old man at the Rejects store on St Clair Street shortly after noon on Friday. A Police Scotland spokesperson said on Monday night: “Emergency services were called around 12.20pm on Friday, January 6, 2023 but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. “A third woman, aged 18, was arrested and charged in connection with shoplifting during the same incident.” For the latest court cases across Tayside and Fife, join our Courts Facebook page.
