Baby-faced beast molested children in Dundee after stalking Snapchat and Instagram for images

A paedophile told his young victims he would “take the risk” of jail as he exploited them for naked photos and underage sex.

Baby-faced Logan Summers pressured multiple young girls — some as young as nine — into sending explicit images.

He “ran away” with a 14-year-old from Glasgow and set up a tent for them to live behind a Dundee supermarket.

Sick Summers spent two days with the youngster and sexually abused her in the make-shift shelter behind Iceland on Pitkerro Road.

The convicted sex-attacker admitted 19 separate charges of possessing indecent images, threatening to leak images of the youngsters online and having sex with a girl over the age of 13 and under 16.

The incidents took place between March 2021 and March 2022.

Social media predator

Summers, 20, prowled Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram for young girls, some only in primary six at the time.

In private messages, he would say he was “their boyfriend” and send them indecent images and videos of himself performing sex acts.

Summers has a sick history of child sex abuse and was jailed last year for gruesome acts involving children.

Depute fiscal Lynn Mannion told Dundee Sheriff Court: “The witness, a girl, received a Facebook message from the accused.

“He asked how old she was and told her he was 18.

“The witness sent a nude image, not of herself, in exchange for alcohol.

“The accused threatened to leak the images if she would not send him more.

“She disclosed the images, not of her.

“This continued to November 11 2021, when the witness contacted the police.”

Joined group for nine-year-olds

Ms Mannion continued: “The accused (to another girl) sent a video slapping himself.

“In another, the complainer has a Snapchat private group with other nine and ten year old girls.

“The accused added the group.

“He sent a picture to the group and said he was one of the girl’s boyfriends.

“He sent other messages asking who wanted to see naked pictures.

“The girls became very upset.”

The court heard he also had intimate images of a young girl under 13.

He threatened to expose the images on the internet by sending them to other people.

Dundee park assault

Ms Mannion went on: “In another charge, the accused contacted a girl and said he was 18. She was 15.

“They arranged to meet at Mill O’Mains park.

“At around 11.00pm the accused approached her.

“He began to touch her breasts and touch her body.

“He told her to pull her top up. She said no.”

The girl ended up staying in the accused’s bedroom for a few days because she feared she had been reported missing.

Summers repeatedly tried to touch her body without consent.

When she stayed in his bed he repeatedly tried to pull her trousers down.

Set up camp with underage girl

In February last year, he asked another girl to go to the back of her school and take a nude image for him.

He threatened to publish pictures she had already taken if she did not do what he asked, the court heard.

When she told him he would go to jail, he replied “I am willing to risk it”.

Finally, Summers admitted “running away together” with a teenager from Glasgow, who was 14 at the time.

The pair travelled by bus to St Andrews and Dundee together, before setting up a tent behind the Iceland supermarket on Pitkerro Road.

While in the tent, Summers performed sex acts on her. She told police she had consented.

Summers, formerly of Balerno Place and currently of HMP YOI Polmont, admitted a number of bail breaches after contacting the girls when he was banned from doing so.

Sheriff Paul Brown deferred sentencing on Summers for reports until February 20.

He was remanded until then.
