Two men have appeared in court in connection with the recovery of cannabis worth £156,000.
Cezar Manciu, 31, and Lulzim Musollari, 53, are alleged to have been concerned in the supply of the class B drug on the A9, near Perth.
The pair, who are both from Manchester, appeared on petition at Perth Sheriff Court. They made no plea.
Police Scotland said officers recovered a haul of herbal cannabis after pulling over a Kia Sportage, just south of the Broxden Roundabout, on Tuesday.
Manciu is further charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice. He was released on bail.
Musollari, who is also accused of driving without insurance, was remanded in custody.

Michael Grant, 35, tried to stop the pair taking is car from the Jet Garage on Forfar Road last April, catching one and punching him “two to three times” as they waited for police.

A serial swindler who once posed as an Amazon delivery driver to scam a 90-year-old woman has been ordered to wear an electronic tag following a shoplifting spree.
Tomasz Lacki admitted three counts of stealing alcohol from Marks and Spencer on the Perth’s High Street.
The city’s sheriff court heard he took about £90 worth of booze over three days in April last year.
The 38-year-old, of Murrayfield Loan, Crieff, also pled guilty to stealing £100 of alcohol from the Coltoquhey House Hotel in Gilmerton on June 14 2021.
Sheriff Gillian Wade ordered Lacki to stay home between 7pm and 7am as part of a 108 day Restriction of Liberty order.
Tesla terror
A Tesla driver who nearly died in a horror crash due to his incorrect autopilot settings has been fined more than £1,000 for careless driving. Dale Martin from Arbroath spun off the A90 near Aberdeen, bouncing off the central reservation and ploughing through two fences before coming to rest in a field after his high-tech car hit a puddle.
Bit officer
A man who hid in a cupboard from police tried to bite them when they arrested him.
Naser Ghafoor, 40, was arrested on a matter no longer before the courts after police were called to his home address on Finlarig Place, Dundee.
Depute fiscal Lee Corr told Dundee Sheriff Court a witness called police because Ghafoor was in her house.
“The accused was found hiding in a cupboard in an upstairs bedroom.
“He appeared to be having a mental health episode, he refused to believe police officers were genuine.
“The accused was persuaded to exit the cupboard.”
As he was arrested, he became aggressive and flailed and tensed his arms, shouted and swore and attempted to bite one on the arm.”
Defence solicitor Gary Foulis, in mitigation, said asked for background reports to be ordered and said his client was “suffering from poor mental health” but still “responsible for his actions” at the time.
Ghafoor, of Finlarig Place, admitted the October 27 2022 assault and sentence was deferred.
Paedophile at it again

Reversed into lamppost
A drink-drive suspect who refused to comply with police after reversing his car into a lamppost has been banned from the road.
Graham Bell was reported to police by neighbours after they watched the high speed smash outside his home in Inchture.
The 50-year-old former delivery driver pretended to police he had no idea who was behind the wheel of his Audi A3 earlier that evening.
At Perth Sheriff Court and admitted failing to provide a breath specimen and information and failing to leave details following an accident in Meadowview Drive, Inchture, on February 3 last year.
Fiscal depute Stuart Hamilton said a neighbour heard Bell’s car horn, “then observed the vehicle reverse at high speed into a lamppost.
It was then parked in his drive.
Later, police noticed his speech was slurred and there was a strong smell of alcohol.
Bell was taken to police HQ in Dundee, but refused to give a breath specimen.
Mr Hamilton said: “He was deliberately breathing out prior to giving a sample and thus reducing the amount of air in his lungs so that he could not provide a sample.”
Solicitor Paul Ralph, defending, said Bell lost his job for a courier firm after he was charged.
The court heard he had a previous conviction for drink-driving.
Bell, of Meadowview Drive, was fined £600 and banned for 16 months.
