Fiscal depute Callum Gordon told Dundee Sheriff Court Peaches McDonald is a transgender person, who is also a drag queen.
Solicitor Ross Donnelly said during discussions with his client, Ogilvie had realised the comment was offensive.
He added Ogilvie, of Buttars Road, “has a number of gay friends.”
He said: “It was a throwaway comment for which he has held his hands up.”
