A Snapchat pervert who sent a picture of his penis to two teenage girls claimed his “fingers slipped”.

Tattooed Daniel Lynch was identified as the sender of the sick picture through a distinctive inking on his hand.

The 22-year-old also sent images of decapitated heads and dead bodies to a social media group chat containing teenagers.

Caught out by tattoos

Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court heard Lynch was known to the youngsters but they did not know him personally.

Fiscal depute May Piskorz said: “At 11.06pm on a date in November (teenager 1) received a Snapchat message from the accused.

“The message showed an image of the accused’s naked penis.

“She noticed a hand holding the penis had a rose tattoo on it.”

Lynch leaves Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court. He will return to be sentenced.

Mr Piskorz confirmed Lynch has a tattoo of a rose on his hand.

“The accused messaged ‘finger slipped, I swear’.

“She said ‘aye, aye’, and the accused replied ‘shhh’.

“The accused, then sent a video.

“It showed the accused having the distinctive tattoo on his right arm and another on his face.”

Mr Piskorz said Lynch had sent 22 pictures in all.

Horrific pictures sent to teens

The prosecutor said, in December Lynch sent a similar image to a second teenager on Snapchat.

He said: “The accused was informed she was under 16 and he should not be doing this.”

Describing a separate offence, Mr Piskorz said the accused was added to a Snapchat group by one of the girls “for a laugh”.

He said: “After a short time, the accused began to send a number of unwanted, disturbing and horrifying images.

“These included dead bodies, people getting their limbs and throats cut, decapitated head in pools of blood and people getting stabbed.”

He also sent a number of images of himself self-harming.

“All of these images were sent out of the blue and were unwanted.

“They caused members of the group to become upset.”

Further sexual images

Describing yet another offence, Mr Piskorz said a third teenager had been alerted to a Snapchat message by notification on her phone.

When she opened it, Lynch started to delete the images but they included pictures of him engaged in a solo sex act.

When confronted, he said he was unaware the recipients were 14 and denied sending the sex act images until another youngster produced screenshots she had managed to retain.

Solicitor David Bell, defending, said Lynch was 19 at the time of the offending.

He said his client had a number of background issues, including autism and his own family described him as “reckless”.

Lynch, of Plover Brae, Livingston, admitted sending a sexualised images to teenage girls between November 1 2019 and December 17 this year and on January 9 2020 and causing teenage girls to view a sexual image on January 11 2020, all at addresses in Fife.

None of the teenagers can be named for legal reasons.

Sheriff Timothy Niven-Smith warned Lynch a jail sentence is possible and deferred sentencing for reports.

Lynch was placed on the Sex Offenders Register in the interim and granted bail.
