A Perthshire man has admitted carrying out a Shining-style rant with an axe.

Anthony Eamonson, 45, of Main Street, Methven appeared at Perth Sheriff Court and pled guilty to shouting, swearing and – while in possession of an axe – threatening to break down a door.

Outside a cottage on Carriers Entry, Bankfoot, on February 5, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause fear or alarm.

Eamonson pointed out to Sheriff Timothy Niven-Smith he did not use the whole axe, just the head.

The case was continued until March 29.

Abuse ‘director’

A Perth predator paid to livestream the abuse of Filipino girls and even “directed” what he wanted to see. Gary Campbell carried out his sick fantasies over Skype from his former home in the Highlands. he will be sentenced next month.

Gary Campbell is led from the High Court in Edinburgh.

She pled guilty to four counts of assault in St Peter’s Place on April 29 2021.

Court papers state McGregor attacked one 14-year-old by attempting to seize him and punch him.

She punched another boy, 15, on the body and seized another 15-year-old’s clothing.

Unwanted kisses

A Glenrothes man questioned a 16-year-old girl about her sex life before giving her an unwanted kiss.

Callum Urquhart, 26, was talking to the girl at her home before launching the assault and is now on the Sex Offenders Register for two years.

At Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court Fiscal depute Lee-Anne Hannan said Urquhart was in the house after a night out drinking with the complainer’s father.

He leaned over and kissed the girl twice, before the assault was interrupted by her mother.

Urquhart of Alexander Road, Glenrothes, was found guilty of sexually assaulting the girl at an address in the town on September 3 last year.

Sheriff Robert More said Urquhart appeared to minimise his crime in reports.

“You told social workers you were trying to comfort her. The only reason she needed comfort was because of your actions.

“This was a sexual assault.”

Urquhart was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work

Bridge rescue costs revealed

A group of friends from London who scaled the Forth Bridge sparked rail chaos and a major police operation costing more than £10,000. Tomer Brown, Ryan McLoughlin, Peter Taylor and Ricky Yuen were seen waving their arms and flashing a light from the top of the iconic railway bridge last summer. A police helicopter was scrambled to see if they needed help.

The four Forth Bridge climbers arrive at court last month.

Letterbox abuse

A neighbour called police after she heard a man shouting through next door’s letterbox: “I hope you get f***ing raped”.

George Bundy, 37, appeared from custody following an argument with his pregnant girlfriend that spiralled out of control.

He pled guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause fear or alarm, at his home in Catmoor Avenue, Scone, in the early hours of February 24.

He admitted uttering abusive remarks and referring to her in derogatory terms.

Fiscal depute David Currie told the court neighbours overhead the couple arguing.

“They were shouting at each other and then matters seemed to escalate.

“The accused was later seen at the front door, shouting through the letter box.”

After making the rape remark, Bundy was heard calling his partner further names.

Sheriff Timothy Niven-Smith deferred sentence for reports and told Bundy: “Had the complainer been seeking the protection of the court, you would be remanded in custody.

“If it was up to me you would be imprisoned.”

Bundy was released on bail until sentencing on March 23, with a warning to stay out of trouble.

“If not, you might as well bring along your rucksack because you’ll be going to jail,” the sheriff said.
