Lobbed possessions from window

An serial domestic offender from Angus must stay away from his ex-partner for three years after she needed police to help her collect belongings around the time of their break-up.

Christopher Watt, 46, was handed a direct alternative to prison by Sheriff Mark Thorley after he hurled the woman’s items out his window.

Watt had been in a relationship with the woman for years and her parents had contacted him about collecting belongings as she had blocked him on social media.

On November 11, the woman and another person arrived at Watt’s home and he began shouting at them.

They left and contacted police for help, returning half an hour later with officers.

From inside, Watt was heard to shout “come on to f***” and threw items belonging to the woman through a window.

Watt, of Orange Lane in Montrose, admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner.

At Forfar Sheriff Court, he was handed 240 hours of unpaid work.
