A man has appeared in court accused of threatening to poison a child’s pets with antifreeze.
Gordon McArthur is alleged to have threatened the schoolboy, who was aged only nine at the time.
He denies behaving in a threatening and abusive manner at an address on Auchterarder by attempting to induce his dog to kill a cat, threatening the boy and threatening to kick him dog, as well as threatening to poison the child’s pets with antifreeze on April 28 this year.
A second charge alleges that the 34-year-old behaved in a threatening manner by reversing a car at speed in to a garden and towards Mark Lucroft, stopping a short distance from him, at another address on the same street on May 4.
McArthur, of Strathallan Way, Auchterarder, will stand trial in September.
