A Carnoustie pervert’s home was raided by police after he was caught peddling sick filth “to win affection.”
Fraser Thomson immediately admitted to officers he had indecent images of children on his phone when they came to his door with a warrant.
He told them he did not enjoy looking at them and was just curious.
Among the sick haul uncovered by police was a ten-second video which depicted a man engaging in sexual activity with a dog in “a realistic way.”
After appearing in the dock at Dundee Sheriff Court, Thomson is now on the Sex Offenders Register and will be sentenced next month.
Search warrant for Carnoustie paedophile’s home
Fiscal depute Sarah High told the court police obtained a search warrant to raid Thomson’s family home in October 2021.
They had received intelligence vile images of children had been accessed from the property.
Officers attended at the Bruce Drive property at 8.50am on November 12 and found the 22-year-old alone.
He immediately confessed to police and said: “I’ve done it.
“It was just stupidness and curiosity.
“It’s not something I enjoyed.”
He indicated images were on his phone.
Police also seized a MacBook and iPad from his bedroom to analyse.
‘People pleaser’
Thomson was taken to West Bell Street HQ where he was interviewed later that morning and spoke freely.
He told police he had shared filth with a male to try to “win affection” and said he engaged in concerning chat with that male because he was “a people pleaser.”
On Thomson’s iPhone, police found 28 illicit files consisting of 12 images and 16 videos.
Two of the videos and 10 of the images were inaccessible to officers.
They also found a ten-second “extreme” clip showing sexual activity between a man and a dog.
Examining officers also found sick files in Whatsapp and Kik chats, including videos considered the most graphic kind.
The earliest creation dates were from January 2021.
Another 42 twisted files were found on the iPad, including 14 videos.
On the MacBook, another 15 files, including five videos, were uncovered.
If all of Thomson’s sick videos were played back-to-back, they would last for 51 minutes.
His oldest files were created in October 2018.
Fraser Thomson pled guilty
Fraser Thomson admitted possessing indecent images of children, distributing a sick file and possessing an “extreme” bestiality video.
His solicitor Jane Caird explained he has no previous convictions.
Sheriff Jillian Martin-Brown deferred sentencing until next month for reports, including a Tay Project assessment.
When he is sentenced, Thomson will find out how long he remains on the Register.
He was released on bail.
