A man who bellowed through a letterbox at his pregnant girlfriend, “I hope you get f***ing raped” has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Neighbours raised the alarm when they heard George Bundy shouting violent threats outside his home in Scone’s Catmoor Avenue.
The 37-year-old appeared at Perth Sheriff Court and admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause fear or alarm, in the early hours of February 24.
After the rape remark, Bundy was heard calling his girlfriend a series of other offensive terms.
Solicitor Pauline Cullerton said: “It’s clear that alcohol was a factor.
“Both parties had been drinking and things got out of hand.”
She said her client is “now motivated to address his alcohol issues.”
Bundy was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.

4th abuse conviction
Dundee man Jamie Lumsden, 23, smashed a mirror which covered a child in glass at his former partner’s house in Dundee.
He has three previous convictions of domestic abuse aimed at the woman.
He admitted his fourth at the city’s sheriff court, pleading guilty to tearing up laminate flooring, pouring Lucozade on his victim and throwing a toy at mirror, causing it to shatter and shower glass over a baby girl.
Lumsden blamed his problems on alcohol and cocaine use.
Depute fiscal Dev Kapadia told the court his July 23 tantrum came as the couple argued over childcare.
“The accused got angry, he was quite aggressive and the complainer told the police his eyes ‘went squint’ and she got the feeling things were going to escalate.
“He then threw a liquid on her.
“She was shocked by what happened.
“He then threw a toy which struck a mirror causing it to shatter.
“It covered a young girl with shards of glass.
“The child was checked for injuries and there were none.
“The accused picked up some of the laminate flooring, damaging it. This was seen by police.”
The court heard the relationship is over.
Lumsden, of Grampian Gardens, admitted wilfully and recklessly destroying property and acting in a threatening and abusive manner.
Sheriff Charles Lugton imposed 150 hours unpaid work and a 12-month supervision order as a direct alternative to custody.

Bus journey from hell
A Dundee lout who terrorised teenagers on a bus journey through Angus while high on Valium and Buckfast has been released from prison.
Connor McInearney threatened to cut off a schoolboy’s ears, sexually assaulted a teenage girl and punched a man in the face during a bus journey from hell.
McInearney was brought from prison to Forfar Sheriff Court last month where he admitted assault, sexual assault and threatening or abusive behaviour committed during a trip he cannot remember taking on the 57 service on March 10 this year.
He returned to the dock to be sentenced following the completion of social work reports.
Solicitor Gary McIlravey said McInearney had arranged a detox but missed it due to being remanded.
“Mr McInearney is not shying away from the fact that he’s appalled by this behaviour.
“Clearly the underlying issue is both drink and drug related.
“He would struggle to deal with things himself.”
Sheriff Garry Sutherland imposed an 18-month community payback order with supervision, an alcohol treatment assessment, a community mental health assessment and a requirement to disclose any relationships of friendships to his supervisor.
He was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 18 months and ordered not to approach any of the teenagers from the bus.
The sheriff noted McInearney had spent the equivalent of a two-month sentence on remand.
