A Fife carer asked a man if he wanted him to perform a sex act as he lay on the couch.
Allan Reid, 64, pled guilty to communicating indecently with the man by making a sexual remark towards him in May 2021.
Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court heard Reid has been suspended from his job.
Procurator fiscal depute Azrah Yousaf told the court the incident took place at a property in Kirkcaldy.
The accused had been sitting at one end of a couch and his victim, in his 40s, was lying on it when Reid asked if he “wanted him to do anything special for him”.
When the man replied ‘what do you mean?’ Reid said: “Don’t hit me, can I give you a bl***ob?”
The man declined this.
Shortly afterwards Reid, of Ravens Craig in Kirkcaldy, said he would probably get sacked for what he had said.
Likely to be sacked
The fiscal depute said the man became anxious and felt uncomfortable and contacted his mother, who informed the authorities about the incident and Reid was taken into custody.
The court was told while being investigated, Reid said he made the comment “what do you want me to do?” before making the sex act reference because he had “done all the housework” in a property he was in.
The fiscal said: “He then said he knew what he said was wrong and would get sacked for it”.
Defence lawyer Katie Stewart said Reid has been suspended from his employment and that there is “no likelihood of him going back”.
The solicitor said her first offender client would be open to support on supervision from social work services.
Sheriff Robert More deferred sentence until July 7 to obtain background reports.
Reid was placed on the Sex Offenders Register meantime, for a period which will be ultimately determined at his sentencing.
