The brother of a man allegedly murdered by an Eastern European man stormedĀ into a police station with a baseball bat claiming he wanted to “take revenge”.
Lee Fyans turned up at Dundee’s Baluniefield Police Station first thing on Monday morning armed with a bat – and walked towards officers telling them: “I could kill yous.”
Officers then grabbed him – only for him to begin to make threats against the Polish community because he wants revenge for the death of his brother, Ronnie Kidd.
Mr Kidd was found dead along with Holly Alexander at a flat in Dundee’s Rosefield Street in December.
Krzysztof Gadecki later appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court facing two charges of murder on petition.
Fiscal depute Eilidh Robertson told Dundee Sheriff Court: “He was detained and then made threats both towards police officers and made comments of threat towards the Polish community and stated he wanted to take revenge for the murder of his brother.
“He shouted and lashed out and continued to make threats towards the officers including ‘I’ll smash your skull in’.
“He was taken to police HQ where he continued to make threats, and said he would assault any Polish people he came into contact with in revenge for the death of his brother.
“He was found to be in possession of a baseball bat during the initial incident.”
Fyans, 35, of Balunie Gardens, pleaded guilty on summary complaint to a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner on June 12 at Baluniefield Police Station.
Defence solicitor Theo Finlay saidĀ his client had been drinking and hadĀ no recollection of the incident.
Sheriff Pino di Emidio deferred sentence until next month for social work background reports and released Fyans on bail meantime.
Krzysztof Gadeicki, 37, of Benvie Road, Dundee, is awaiting trial over the murders of Mr Kidd and Miss Alexander.
It is alleged that between December 8 and December 11 at a flat in Rosefield Street, Dundee, he murdered Mr Kidd, 40, and Miss Alexander, 37, – who both lived at the address at the time – by repeatedly striking them on the body with a knife or similar instrument.
