The man accused of killing two Dundee cousins at a family vigil for a missing relative has pleaded not guilty to their murders.
Robert Stratton appeared at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday morning and lodged a special defence of self-defence in two of the charges.
He denied four charges, including the murder of murders of mum-of-three Julie McCash, 43, and her 32-year-old cousin David Sorrie in Drumlanrig Drive in February on the morning of February 26.
The 43-year-old also denied another charge of the attempted murder of a third person and another charge of assaulting his partner Lee Kinney at various locations in Drumlanrig Drive.
The court heard the defence and prosecution have agreed a joint minute stating Stratton struck both of the deceased and that caused their deaths.
Stratton will go to trial at the High Court in Edinburgh on September 13.
Ms McCash and Mr Sorrie were attending a family vigil after the disappearance of autistic teenager Ralphie Smith in Arbroath on February 25.
