A man had appeared in court accused of attempting to murder a 53-year-old in Blairgowrie. George Stewart is alleged to have repeatedly stabbed Robert Preston in the head and body on Saturday August 5. It is said that the 20-year-old used a knife in the assault, which took place on a footpath between Hatton Road and Ferguson Park Road in Rattray. Stewart’s solicitor, Steve Lafferty, entered no plea on behalf of his client.
