A Laurencekirk drink-driver admitted driving while almost four times the legal limit in Montrose.
Craig Barclay, 41, of High Street, admitted that on July 7 at Coronation Avenue he drove a car carelessly.
He pled guilty to driving over white staggered lines in the middle of the road.
His car moved into the opposing carriageway and into the face of an oncoming vehicle, causing the collision and both vehicles to be damaged.
The crash also caused another man to be injured.
Barclay also admitted that on the same date he drove a car while almost four times the legal alcohol limit (86 mics).
Sentence was deferred until September 7 for a criminal justice social work report to be prepared and considered, with Barclay banned from driving in the interim period.
