A 20-year-old man is to face trial after being accused of assaulting three people at a fast food restaurant in Dundee city centre, including the duty manager.
Footage of the alleged incident, which occurred at McDonald’s on Reform Street on Thursday night, has been shared more than quarter of a million times on social media.
A spokesman for the fast food giant said a duty manager has sustained minor injuries.
Videos of the alleged incident, which begins inside the restaurant and spills out on to Reform Streeet, were posted on social media on Saturday night.
Daryll Lee Cruickshanks, of Emmock Woods Grove, appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court in connection with the evidence.
He denied that on August 25 he assaulted shift manager Fraser Madden by punching him on the head and striking him on the head with his head, throwing a chair at him and kicking him on the body to his injury.
He also denied assaulting Alastair Ramsay by punching him on the head and pushing him on the body to his injury and assaulting Shannon Richardson by punching her on the head to her injury.
Cruickshanks and a teenage girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, both denied behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, shouting and swearing and threatening violence in an aggressive manner.
Trial was set for December 12 with an intermediate diet on November 21.
A McDonald’s spokesman said: “We can confirm that an incident took place at our Reform Street restaurant.
“Police were alerted to this disturbance and we are co-operating fully with their inquiries.
