A 31-year-old man is due to appear in Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday over the death of 24-year-old Gordon Adams, who is believed to have been killed by a crossbow.
Mr Adams, also known as Gordon Diduca, died after the incident at Dundonald Court, off Arklay Street, on Sunday night.
An online fundraiser to pay for Mr Adams’ funeral passed its £500 goal after a removal man donated half the money.
A fundraising page was set up by Mr Adams’ niece Courtney Diduca.
She wrote: “Gordon Robert Diduca, 24. Young and shot. Donations to our family that has lost our mum and brother in the space of four months.
“We thank everyone that donates and helps. We really do need your help.”
Jamie Gillan from Jamie’s Property Services donated £250.
He wrote: “Did not know Gordon but his mother was a customer of mine, and had not realised that she had also passed away.”
