A man has been charged following an attack on a man with learning difficulties in Kirkcaldy town centre.
Peter Menellis, 25, was left with serious facial injuries following an incident in Hill Street, near Kirkcaldy Bus Station, at around 11pm on Saturday night.
He was taken to the town’s Victoria Hospital, where his wounds required staples and stitches.
Police confirmed a 34-year-old man who was detailed following the incident has now been charged and is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Detectives would like to thank the community for their assistance with the investigation.”
