Perth Sheriff Court evacuated

Proceedings at Perth Sheriff Court were delayed after the building was evacuated.

Two units of Scottish Fire and Rescue attended the Tay Street building at around 10am after an alarm went off.

The staff and people attending court were evacuated while firemen wearing breathing apparatus checked the building.

After half an hour it was established that it had been a false alarm and court was able to resume.
