A man has been charged in connection with a ram raid at a Kirkcaldy shop.
A dumper truck was driven into the Co-op store on Lauder Road during the early hours of December 12 last year, having been stolen from a nearby industrial estate.
Considerable damage was caused to the supermarket, in the town’s Hayfield area, after the vehicle crashed into the side of the premises.
Following an investigation by Kirkcaldy CID, a 44-year-old has been charged and is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date.
Officers have thanked local people for their assistance, stating that it was information from members of the public that have led to this arrest.
