Two drug dealers caught red-handed carrying out an £80,000 deal are facing lengthy jail terms.
Ryan Donaldson was under surveillance by police when he left his home on Wedderburn Street in Dundee to drive to meet Hamish Grant on a rural road north of the city.
He was spotted handing over a holdall to Grant, who then drove away on to the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road where he was stopped shortly after.
Depute fiscal Charmaine Gilmartin told Dundee Sheriff Court the bag was searched and found to contain cannabis resin worth up to £57,000 and heroin with a potential street value of £23,750.
She said: “There were a total of 153 bars of cannabis resin, some of which were imprinted with a branding. Each was wrapped in plastic and weighed around 98 grams.
“Also within was a plastic bag containing brown packages. It contained a total of 495.01 grams of diamorphine. The purity was street level with a maximum value of £23,750.”
Grant, 53, of Croft Road, Elgin, and Donaldson, 46, of Arklay Place, Dundee, pled guilty on indictment to being concerned in the supply of cannabis resin and diamorphine.
A third man, Richard Edwards, 38, of Findale Street, appeared on the same indictment and pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine on July 28 last year.
The court heard he had two quantities of cocaine in his home with a street value of £5,650.
Sheriff Alastair Brown deferred sentence on the men until April 26.
Grant and Donaldson were remanded in custody, while Edwards had his bail continued.
