A man who was cultivating a cannabis farm in a Dundee multi was rumbled when a plumber was called to deal with a water leak.
Anthony Anderson admitted growing 18 cannabis plants at his home in Pitalpin Court on Lansdowne Gardens. Eight of them were mature and 10 were saplings.
Police and a plumber were called in the early hours of February 2 after a neighbour on a lower floor reported water leaking into his home from the 33-year-old’s flat.
Procurator Fiscal Kate Irwin said: “At around 2.30am police were called to assist with forcing entry to the locus.
“It was believed there was a leak, going into a downstairs neighbour’s flat.
“On hearing banging on his front door, the accused let the police and the plumber in.
“On entry, police became aware of a strong smell of cannabis.
“A total of 18 cannabis plants were discovered in a bedroom and living room.”
Sentencing was deferred until May 18 for criminal justice and social work reports to be obtained and for Anderson to appear in person.
