The pair, aged 18 and 33, were allegedly attacked during a fracas in the city’s Argyll Road at the weekend. Daniel McDiarmid appeared on petition at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday. The 18-year-old faces two counts of assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement. He made no plea and was released on bail. Both alleged victims were understood to have been part of a larger group of people who had been celebrating an 18th birthday party at a nearby pub. Part of Argyll Road was taped off by police on Sunday, while forensic officers checked for evidence.
