Man in court on knife charges following armed police incident in Dundee

A man arrested after armed police stopped a car in a residential street in Dundee appeared in court on Tuesday facing charges of possessing knives and having a bald tyre on his car.
William Hendry, 41, of Witchwood Court, Coatbridge, was held following an incident in Perth Road.
Hendry made no plea during the short hearing at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Tom Hughes continued the case for further examination and released Hendry on bail.
Two other men arrested during the operation on Sunday were released without appearing in court.
