A Dundee woman will stand trial accused of driving at more than three times the legal alcohol limit, crashing into a car and a wall, driving through a fence and failing to stop at the scene of an accident in the lead-up to Christmas.
It is alleged that on December 23, Sarah Donaldson had 77 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood – the legal limit being 22 micrograms – while driving a car.
She was said to have driven under the influence on Broughty Ferry Road, Dundee Road, Fairfield Road, Strathern Road, the A92 Arbroath to Dundee, Claypotts Road, Victoria Road and Stannergate Road.
A second charge states that the 30-year-old drove at 40mph in a 30mph zone, caused other drivers to take evasive action to avoid a collision, failed to observe other cars in front of her and collided with the rear of a car, causing damage.
The charge further states that she struck a wall and drove through a fence, causing damage to it and to her vehicle.
On Dundee Road, the accused was said to have failed to stop and failed to give her name and address to any person having reasonable grounds to request those details, after allegedly colliding with the car.
She was also said to have failed to stop at Strathearn Road after allegedly colliding with the wall.
Donaldson, of South Baffin Street, pled not guilty to all charges.
She is expected to stand trial on March 22 at Dundee Sheriff Court.
An intermediate diet was scheduled for February 28.
Donaldson was released on bail in the meantime.
