An Angus man will stand trial accused of historical sexual offences against two children over a period of 12 years at various places in Dundee and Forfar.
Derrick Heeney, 61, is facing charges including indecently touching a five-year-old girl between August 1 1983 and September 30 1983 at Drumlanrig Drive in the city.
A second charge states that on various occasions between October 9 1990 and October 8 1992, at properties in Dundee’s Cowgate and Dudhope Court, he sexually abused another girl when she was aged 10 and 11.
He is further accused of an identical offence towards the girl when she was aged between 12 and 16, on various occasions between October 9 1992 and October 8 1993.
Heeney also allegedly had unlawful intercourse with the child between October 9 1992 and October 8 1993, when she was under the age of 13, in Dudhope Court.
Heeney, of Aulton Way in Montrose, is further charged with having sexual intercourse with a relative between October 9 1992 and October 8 1995 at Dudhope Court, Fenwick Place, the Law, Greenfield Court, Black Street, and in a layby near to Airlie Industrial Estate in Forfar.
A final charge accuses him of supplying cannabis at the locations and dates stated above. Heeney denies all charges and a further hearing has been set for February 19.
