‘Why not go to a park and shout?’ – Dundee man banned by sheriff from shouting in his own flat

A sheriff has banned a Dundee man from shouting in his own flat.
Gerrard Kelly, 41, of Tweed Crescent, must adhere to the bail condition or risk a period in custody. He appeared from custody to admit to shouting and banging on a door in his home on Sunday.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard Kelly’s shouting was not directed at anyone and told police: “I admit to shouting and making noise but with no criminal intent.”
Solicitor Anika Jethwa said Kelly shouts in his property as a coping mechanism for his “difficulties”.
Sheriff Alastair Carmichael responded: “Why not go to a park and shout?”
