A Tayside teenager has appeared in court accused of severely disfiguring a fellow reveller in an alleged bite attack at a city nightclub.
Danielle Gaffar has been charged with assaulting another woman on February 3 at Aura nightclub by grabbing her hair, forcing her to the ground and striking her head off the ground several times.
The 18-year-old is then said to have put her arm around the alleged victim’s throat and restricted her breathing.
The final part of the charge states that Gaffar, of Tealing, bit the young woman on the body and then bit her on the face to her severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Gaffar appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on petition on Monday, making no plea during her initial private hearing.
She was granted bail with a special condition not to approach the alleged victim and will appear in court again at a later date to tender a plea.
