Alexander Forbes made a private appearance at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday, charged with assault and robbery. The 37-year-old was also charged with being in possession of a knife in a public place and assaulting a police officer. The Burntisland man made no plea to the charges against him and the case was continued for further examination. Forbes was remanded in custody pending a second appearance sometime within the next eight days. His arrest follows an incident at an off-licence on Cromwell Road on Friday evening.
