A man accused of driving at speeds of more than 135 mph on a notorious Fife road is set to stand trial.
The case against Javid Aslam called at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court yesterday where a not guilty plea was submitted on his behalf.
The 40-year-old, of Causewayhead in Kennoway, will stand trial on June 19.
His co-accused, Brad Peacock, had his case continued without plea for three weeks to allow time for the 21-year-old to give further instructions to his defence lawyer.
Peacock, of Woodend Park in Cardenden, will appear on April 9.
Depute fiscal Jade Doig told the court that warrants had been issued for both men at a previous hearing but it had been done in error due to a mix up with paperwork.
Sheriff Christopher Shead ordered that both warrants be withdrawn and fixed dates for future hearings.
The two men are accused of driving dangerously on the A915 Standing Stane Road between Kirkcaldy and Leven on May 2 last year.
