A man has been jailed for stealing more than £2,000 worth of dolls from a Dunfermline supermarket. The toys, which were still in delivery boxes, were taken by a serial thief to feed his drug addiction. William Innes, 29, of Edinburgh but currently in jail, admitted stealing the dolls from Asda at Halbeath Retail Park on October 6. A total of £720 of goods were recovered, Dunfermline Sheriff Court heard. The court was told Innes had a long-standing cocaine addiction which has resulted in numerous shoplifting and drugs offences. Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a six-month jail term to be served consecutively to his current sentence.
