A 51-year-old man has been accused of conning the Department of Work and Pensions out of more than £50,000.
Alisdair Duff is alleged to have spent almost a decade pretending not to have a job while he was working full-time.
Duff, of Wallace Place, Longforgan, is alleged to have fraudulently obtained £51,589.39 from the agency between November 26 2007 and July 20 2017.
It is alleged that he failed to notify the DWP of a change in his circumstances and carried on claiming Incapacity Benefit and Employment Support Allowance when he was working.
Duff pleaded not guilty but did not appear personally when the case called yesterday at Perth Sheriff Court.
