A Dundee teenager attacked a man at a city nightclub.
Joe McLaughlin, 19, admitted assaulting Derek Robertson at Club Tropicana on South Ward Road on February 2.
The teenager pushed Mr Robertson on the body, struck him on the head and kicked him on the leg, causing him to fall to the ground to his injury.
McLaughlin, of Greenlee Drive, also pled guilty to a second charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner during a journey in a police vehicle from Club Tropicana to police headquarters on West Bell Street on the same date.
He acted aggressively, shouted, swore, refused to desist, struck his head off the police van and made derogatory comments.
Sheriff John Rafferty deferred sentencing until June 3 for criminal justice and social work reports, as well as a restriction of liberty order assessment.
In an unrelated case heard at Dundee Sheriff Court, a woman who previously flipped her car when under the influence of alcohol pled guilty to her latest drink-driving charge.
Millie Kell, 20, drove with 54 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, which was more than twice the legal limit of 22 micrograms, on April 23 at Dudhope Terrace.
Kell, of Frederick Street, was handed a community payback order by Sheriff George Way.
She is required to complete 75 hours of unpaid work in eight months and will be disqualified from driving for three years.
Sheriff Way made mention of Kell’s first drink-driving conviction which saw her narrowly escape serious injury when crashing on an Angus back road in 2017.
