A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after the sudden death of a man in Perth.
Barry Dixon, 22, was found fatally injured at a top floor flat in Wallace Court in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
He was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Police Scotland confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that a 21-year-old man had been charged in connection with the death and was due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A 23-year-old woman who was arrested in connection with the inquiry has been released.
Barry’s family issued a statement through Police Scotland. They wrote: “Barry, a loving grandson, son, brother and nephew, has been taken from us so young and we are devastated.
“He loved spending time with his family and his friends. He was kind hearted and generous and will be missed greatly by all of us.”
Investigators have urged anyone who was in the Wallace Court area on Tuesday morning, or who had contact with Barry the day before, to get in touch by calling 101, quoting reference 0259 of June 4.
