A fan of The Hunger Games films who changed her name to Katniss Everdeen assaulted a man on a station platform in Fife.
Everdeen attacked the man at Ladybank Railway Station during a journey between Skye and Edinburgh.
The 48-year-old is understood to have changed her name four years ago in honour of the heroine from the Suzanne Collins books which inspired the hit franchise.
She also took the middle name Mockingjay, the symbolic nickname of the lead character played by Jennifer Lawrence as she fronts a rebellion.
Everdeen, of Bangor Road, Edinburgh, admitted assaulting the man in June last year but insisted she had no memory of the incident.
She was unable to explain why she was even on the platform, having previously claimed to have slept the entire journey.
Only when presented with CCTV footage did she own up to what she had done.
Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court was told a camera captured Everdeen pacing the platform in an agitated state on the evening of June 14 last year.
The victim appeared on the platform shortly after and was approached by Everdeen, who was said to have smelled of alcohol.
Everdeen became aggressive towards him, struck him with her knee then punched him.
During a struggle they both fell to the ground and the victim pinned Everdeen to the ground with his hands and knees.
Everdeen broke free, the court heard, and moved away as a train pulled into the platform.
Her solicitor Graham Inch said Everdeen had mental health issues and a personality disorder.
He said: “She has no explanation as to what happened that day. She has no recollection of it occurring. She can’t even explain why she was at that particular train station.
“She advises me she is sorry for her behaviour on that day.”
Sheriff Alison McKay called for background reports and deferred sentence until July 29.
