A young Angus woman is facing the prospect of an electronic tag over a so-called revenge porn offence.
Lesha Grant’s sentence was deferred until next month for the preparation of a restriction of liberty order assessment after she admitted posting an intimate image of a man on social media last August.
The 20-year-old, of Annat Road, Montrose, also pled guilty to assaulting a woman in Sharky’s Bar, Montrose, on July 27 last year by punching her on the head to her injury.
The image offence happened on August 4 at an address on Ferry Street, Montrose, and Grant admitted posting the picture without consent, with the intention of causing fear or alarm.
Defence solicitor Michael Boyd told Forfar Sheriff Court his client had other matters calling on August 22.
Sheriff Derek Reekie told Grant: “I would have been asking for reports on this matter anyway. Without hearing the facts, clearly these are serious matters.”
