A haul of £520,000 of the drug was discovered during a police operation in the Elphin Street area of New Aberdour, Aberdeenshire, on Friday, July 26. Police say the cultivation was unearthed thanks to intelligence passed on to them by the local community. Two men aged 25 and 21 have been charged with alleged drugs offences and were due in Peterhead Sheriff Court on Monday.
