A Lochgelly man could face a jail sentence for an assault which left his victim with a collapsed lung.
John McMillan, 52, stopped his van and confronted the man, allegedly accusing him of staring at his wife.
At Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court he admitted assaulting the man to his severe injury in Paul Street, Lochgelly, on November 12.
Father-of-five McMillan repeatedly punched the man’s head then repeatedly kicked him on the body when he fell to the ground.
Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist called for background reports before McMillan is sentenced on September 12. He told him: “I need to make it clear to you that this is a serious matter and custody will be an option the court will be required to consider.”
