A man who escaped from a secure unit at a clinic is to be sentenced for a string of offences in Fife going back almost five years.
Andrew Waddell, 31, a prisoner at Edinburgh, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and admitted absconding from the Orchard Clinic in Edinburgh between May 8 and 15 to avoid prosecution and defeat the ends of justice.
Appearing in court on Friday he also admitted assaulting his partner at Blair Avenue in Glenrothes on November 3 2014, and recklessly driving off in a van whilst struggling with a police officer who was leaning into the vehicle at Daubs Farm in Auchtermuchty on July 4 2016.
Sheriff Craig McSherry remanded Waddell in custody until sentencing on October 15.
