A man has appeared in court accused of locking his ex-girlfriend in a loft before slashing her face with a knife.
Paul Booth also allegedly threatened to slit the throat of his dog.
At Perth Sheriff Court, the 27-year-old pled not guilty to a charge of abducting and assaulting the woman, and also to a second charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards her and one other woman.
Booth, a prisoner at Perth, is alleged to have carried out the attack at an address in Perth on June 4. He is said to have held a knife to the woman’s cheek, tried to strangle her as he pinned her to a bed and struck her on the face with a knife.
