Smoke can be seen above Camperdown Park. (photo: Jack Green) A spokeswoman for the fire service said the first call was made at 1.56pm. She added: “We attended to several reports of a fire in Camperdown Park in the open land. “The fire originated in a large quantity of salt bins. “The stop message came in at 2.48pm.” Smoke could be seen across Dundee and even in north Fife. The fire service say the blaze took place close to the park’s boundary at Liff Road.
