The accident occurred in Lochee on Rankine Street, situated just off Lochee Road, at around 2.05pm. The ambulance, fire service and police are all in attendance with the road closed in both directions. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said one person has been taken to hospital with unknown injuries. Meanwhile, a paving machine carrying out resurfacing works on Harefield Road in Dundee has broken down in the middle of the road. The machine cannot be moved meaning the works will not be completed by the weekend as hoped. Sections of the road are scheduled to be closed in two stages for three weeks to allow for a pedestrian crossing upgrade.
