A trial date has been set for a Dundee gin maker accused of fraud.
Peter Menzies, owner of Dundee Gin and The Vine function suite in the West End, is alleged to have formed a fraudulent scheme to obtain alcohol licences from Dundee and Angus councils.
The former West End Community Council chairman maintained his plea of not guilty during a brief appearance in Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday.
Menzies, 52, is accused of making seven fake claims before the alleged deception was discovered. It is claimed he used the name of former employee Robert Bruce to make the requests.
A trial was set for February 27.
