Drivers on a busy trunk road face disruption this week due to a £345,000 roadworks project.
The ongoing safety upgrades for the A90 at Tealing will see teams working on barrier upgrades on the trunk road.
The area surrounding the Tealing and Murroes junctions has been reduced to one lane in both directions. It will remain so until February 16.
Alternate northbound and southbound closures will be in place from February 17 between 7.30pm and 6.30am until the project is complete.
Drivers have been asked to take the lane closures into account when planning their journeys.
The work involves refurbishing a shared-use layby south of Murroes Junction and upgrading the existing pedestrian crossing point within the central reservation.
The vehicle safety barrier within the central reservation will also be upgraded along with improvements to street lighting.
The project has been designed to enhance the safety of pedestrians and motorists turning at the junctions.
New vehicle activated warning signs were installed last year.
The final phase of the project began in December and teams have now completed a new footpath from Murroes Junction to the shared-use layby in preparation of a new bus shelter being built.
Once this week’s work is complete, teams will carry out further footpath improvements as well as safety fence and layby works.
The project is expected to be fully complete by March 8.
