A 27-year-old man who went missing in Dundee on Sunday morning had been staying at a plush city centre hotel.
Taylor Frazer, 27, was last seen around 4.40am on Sunday at the Tesco Riverside supermarket and police say they have “significant concerns” about his welfare.
It is understood he had been staying at the Malmaison Hotel on Whitehall Crescent and had been due to check out on Sunday morning.
The search for Mr Frazer is concentrated on the city centre and a team of forensic officers visited the hotel on Sunday as enquiries into his disappearance began.
The search moved onto the Riverside area yesterday as officers became increasingly concerned for his well-being.
He is described as having brown hair and a beard and was wearing a dark coloured, possibly navy blue jacket, denim blue coloured jeans and beige/light coloured shoes.
Mr Frazer is known to frequent Dundee city centre and may use public transport.
Anyone who knows Taylor or has seen a man matching his description is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.
Police in Dundee also carried out a high-profile search for a 26-year-old woman who went missing from her Charleston home in a separate incident on Monday morning.
A coastguard helicopter was called in to assist with the search Kerry Jones.
She had last been seen at her home in South Road around 10.45pm on Sunday evening.
The helicopter was scrambled shortly after midnight and spent nearly an hour searching the South Road area for a sign of Ms Jones.
The search continued on Monday morning before she was traced by police around 1.15pm.
A Coastguard spokesman said: “Police called us to take part in the search around 12.20am.
“It was concentrated on the area around South Road in Dundee.
“The search was purely concentrated on the inland area. It continued for 48 minutes but there was no sign of the missing woman.”
