Following the decision to close city schools, Xplore Dundee will temporarily reduce service provision to public holiday levels.
New timetables will take effect from Monday 23 March and can be viewed online at xploredundee.com.
Xplore Dundee Managing Director Christine McGlasson explained: “In line with falling passenger demand and staff capacity, we have taken the decision to temporarily modify our services.
“With effect from Monday 23 March, our core routes will operate to the public holiday timetables which were in effect over the Christmas period. Services 4 and 23 will be temporarily suspended, but we are in discussions with Dundee City Council to explore alternative options in the meantime.”
This means that the daytime frequency of services will be reduced, but most weekday morning journeys will be kept running.
Christine added: “We are working hard to maintain vital links to locations such as Ninewells Hospital – particularly for frontline NHS staff who need to get to and from work at this unprecedented time.”
Xplore Dundee continues to monitor Government guidance and follow advice from Health Protection Scotland. Further changes may be introduced as things progress, but the company will update people via official channels on social media and online.
Changes to individual timetables can be viewed on the Xplore Dundee website and they will be posting the latest news about their services on their updates page.
